Wickman Products sells products that will leave you saying, “No way!” They deliver unique candle tools used to dig out buried wicks, trimming and catching wicks for a cleaner and longer burn, and a snuffer or a wick dipper, both used to extinguish the candle’s flame. Based in Memphis, Tennessee, this company truly offers unique candle accessories, and candles, too.
Why buy such unique products? Candle wicks trimmed to 1/4″ will burn longer and cleaner. The wick dippers are used to snuff candles by submerging the burning wick into the hot pool of wax, then lifting it back out. When this is done, the wick is coated and sealed with wax, preventing it from smoking and smoldering, leaving the room freshly scented instead of smelling like smoke.
Each of the accessories can be purchased individually, and some are sold as a pack (standard multipack includes the wick trimmer, wick dipper and bell snuffer; the two item pack includes a wick trimmer and wick dipper). For a bit of flourish, you can buy a fleur de lis trimmer or dipper that has an embellished design, and comes separate or as part of a pack. The wick dippers, which can also be found with a bit of design, like a peace sign, or a cross, are great for cutting even wooden wicks and larger outdoor candle wicks.
All of the products have a nice finish in matte black, pewter, gold, or stainless steel.
The candles they offer are scented and poured into an 11-ounce tumbler using only premium oils in classic singular scents, as well as combinations. Scents include mango tangerine, red tulip, rosewood, vanilla freesia jasmine, and pomegranate pineapple, and more. Each candle also includes an engraved stone collectible with words like breathe, laugh, imagine, and celebrate.
The Wickman line of candle accessories was started in 1999 by Bryce Huie. After being asked repeatedly by a girlfriend to dig out buried or broken off candle wicks, Bryce decided to design a specific tool for this purpose instead of using a kitchen knife or other household item. It was a side business until 2001 when he designed the original Wickman wick trimmer with debris catching trays and ergonomically shaped handles and blades for easy trimming of candle wicks. From there it became a full-time occupation, adding other candle accessories like wick dippers and bell snuffers. Today, Wickman supplies unique candle accessories to over 3,000 retail establishments across the US, Canada, Australia and Europe offering one of the most extensive lines of candle wick trimmers on the market, along with a whole line of handy to have accessories for the candle lover.
So, for those extremely useful but hard to find candle extras, look no further than Wickman Products.
