The fine people at Cajun Creole Products didn’t start their business making their flavorful, famous brand of in-the-shell hot peanuts. They actually started with something a little more traditionally Cajun.
In 1978, Cajun Creole Products began roasting and blending their brand of New Orleans style Cajun Chicory Coffee in New Iberia, Louisiana, 20 miles southeast of Lafayette.
But it was in 1989 that the company invented a unique, never before done process of seasoning peanuts inside the shell. And that’s how Cajun Creole’s Hot Nuts were born.
These in-the-shell peanuts are full of spicy, hot Cajun flavoring that has become well known throughout the world. The geographical location of Cajun Creole Products puts it right smack dab in the middle of the “sweetest, saltiest and pepperiest place on the planet,” according to their website.
According to customers who have tried and enjoyed Cajun Creole’s Hot Nuts, there is tons of flavor in their products. “I am presently stationed in Afghanistan. A Colonel over here gave me a bag of your Hot Cajun Nuts and I’m hooked. I just ordered 6 bags so I can return the favor and let others know about your product” said one customer, while another exclaimed, “Wow! Flavor and heat, but not too much. Good work.”
A lot of people ask Cajun Creole how they get all of that flavor into the shell and onto the peanuts. While they may not be inclined to give away all their secrets, they do offer a wide range of original spices and seasonings for customers looking to cook their own delicious foods.
Smokeless Blackened Seasoning, Spicy Seasoning, and Pepper Potpourri are their most popular flavors, but they also offer a Cajun Creole Spice Sampler for those looking to try out all of the delicious and mouth-watering spices from Cajun Creole.
And, of course, they also offer their original New Orleans Style Chicory Coffee, for customers that love a good cup o’ joe. They have Cajun Creole Coffee Pure — their original coffee roast — and Coffee and Chicory roast.
