The love for a dog led to the creation of Hattie Rex, owned by Tessa Burnett. In 2007 she ventured into making a special dog tag for her new Labrador, Pablo, while living in Missouri. Armed with stamps, copper, and a hammer, Tessa began crafting the perfect dog tag for her new pooch. This eventually led to an online store where she made personalized tags for other pet owners, but when a customer asked for a tag with her daughter’s name, Tessa stumbled into making personalized jewelry.
Now based in Bozeman, Montana, Tessa and her team create everything from new baby gifts to memorial items, in addition to the original pet identification tags.
