2011 is quickly approaching and will be here before we know it. That is why taking time to plan for the new year is never a bad thing at all. There are a couple things that we may want to keep the same and possibly change. Keep a board at work full of goals, improvements, and changes that need to be made in order to keep ideas fresh on your mind. With all these positive changes and goals, you’re sure to have a successful 2011.
2011 Looks Bright!
Sit down, think and write down what you want to achieve for 2011. Is it to increase sales? Informing your customers more? Whatever your goals are, you need to sit down and write them out so you know exactly what to achieve. Look back on this past year and figure out what you could have done differently or keep in mind what your customers suggested. However, sit down and ask yourself a few questions to understand what your goals should be.
Are You Marketing Towards The Right People?
Ask yourself, who are my customers? Define your customers again, are they the same or have you noticed a change in their demographics? Assess how you’re getting your product information to the customers. Was it effective or not? If it was, keep it the same. However, changing it up just a little bit keeps your customers on their toes and gives them something new to look forward to. If you feel like your customers have changed, research the most popular ways to reach them. One example is social media through Facebook, Twitter or a blog. Double checking your marketing strategies should be an absolute must each year to make sure you’re reaching your customers appropriately.
What Do Your Products Say?
Are your products achieving the sales you want and are your customers satisfied with the product line you carry? Reevaluating what your store carries never hurts. Did you sell a lot of a certain product or not sell a lot of it? If you are, maybe you should expand that wholesale product line. However, if you’re not than get rid of it. Also, you need to keep within the know on new products and what’s in style so you’re up-to-date on all the latest. Your customers will expect nothing less from you.
Place value back into your products. By offering valuable products you can satisfy customers and possibly ignore discounts. Sure it’s great to allure customers in but does it really benefit you? Customers won’t need discounts if you have what they want and valuable products in your store. Products are your main attraction so focusing on valuable products will lead towards great success.
Your Goals Are Attainable!
Attainable goals are achievable. Just remember what YOU should focus on and what will make your store better. Focus on a few goals for the year 2011 and set out an active plan to help you achieve them. Having a strategy board will help you keep focused on achieving your goals. Establishing goals is a step, but sitting down and figuring out how to achieve those goals is what counts.
2011 will look absolutely bright if you take the time to figure out what will make your store better for you and your customers. Are you still serving the right customers? Are your products catering towards their needs? Do you have valuable products? Once you’ve answered those Continue reading “Marketing Tip Of The Week: 2011 Outlook” »
