We Are The Cure – Promoting Support & Raising Awareness With Clothing
There are many causes close to the heart. These are usually diseases or situations that society faces but feels helpless to fight. Well, we are not helpless. Americans are dedicated to the fight against causes such as breast cancer awareness, the fight against domestic violence and abuse, finding a cure for autism, and the cerebral palsy cause. There are many others that tug at our hearts and move us to action.
How do we fight against these things? How do we support the cause and the afflicted in a way that lets the world know how important it is to battle these things? We—consumers, Americans, the concerned, the afflicted—fight with awareness. Cause awareness increases the likelihood that someone will take interest in the cause and find a cure for the disease or a way to end the troubles. Cause awareness makes it possible for those suffering in private to find public support. Making their voices heard by all starts with something as small as awareness clothing.
Wearing The Cure—Where Cause Awareness Meets Fashion
The picture that springs to mind when “cause awareness” is spoken is probably not the same as “fashion.” However, the two are so similar and interwoven that they have become helping hands for the other. Cause awareness fashion takes on many forms. Expressing your interest in the fight against breast cancer can be achieved by wearing a breast cancer ribbon, t-shirt, hat or beanie. Those attending cause awareness activities such as Race For The Cure and the St. Jude’s Walk-a-thon typically receive a t-shirt or hat for their participation. In this way, these tiny pieces of fashion become more than awareness ribbons and bracelets. These become trophies for the afflicted; tiny billboards that prove just how much support exists for the suffering.
When it’s time to raise awareness for a cause, get the word moving fashionably with awareness products like breast cancer ribbons, awareness bracelets, t-shirts and other clothing.
