Prayer has long been a way that people of faith have combated grief and anxiousness when a loved one is ill when they’re in a bad spot in their life, or when they just need some simple encouragement in their day-to-day lives.
But prayer is a two-way street. It’s not just about asking for prayer; it’s also about praying for others when they are in need.
That’s what PrayerBowls wants to help people do.
Karen Berry, founder and owner of PrayerBowls is a believer in the power of prayer. Karen got her idea for the PrayerBowl during a difficult time in her own life. A few years ago, Karen got extremely sick, leading to multiple surgeries and treatments for her illness. Many of her friends and family members prayed to God each day to heal her, but it was one woman in particular who had a lasting impact on Karen.
This woman, named Angie, had prayed for Karen every day to be healed, yet had never met Karen before her sickness. She prayed for Karen every day for a year and said she kept a prayer bowl full of the names of people she wanted to pray for each day. From this simple gesture, Karen got the idea to make PrayerBowls, so that others could participate in their own daily prayer reminders.
PrayerBowls were created as a reminder to pray for those in need, even during very busy days. They can be placed in a common area, where it’s guaranteed to be seen every day by the owner, and new names can be written down and placed in the bowls.
There are currently two styles of PrayerBowls available; the Angie and the Celeste.
Both are beautifully crafted porcelain bowls that feature uplifting messages and stunning design. The Angie Set has an elegantly trimmed gold edge, as well as hand-applied Swarovski Crystals perfectly placed onto the bowl. The Bible verse on the edge is Philippians 4:6, which reads “Do not be anxious about anything, but in prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.”
The Celeste Set features a meticulously designed golden cross and hand-applied Swarovski Crystals. It features the verse Romans 12:12, which says “Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfast in prayer.” It’s a beautiful reminder to have hope and remember to pray for those who need it the most.
Both sets come with a stack of PrayerCards, specially made for writing heartfelt prayers on them and placing them in the PrayerBowl.
PrayerBowls is also currently working on a brand new PrayerBowl design and it is being created in Poland. It’s scheduled to be available in June.
There will also be a new line of greeting cards available from PrayerBowls very soon, which will feature the words and theme “I prayed for you today.”
PrayerBowls are powerful prayer tools and beautiful reminders for people to pray for each other, whenever it is needed. Your customers will love seeing these testaments of faith in your store!
