There are numerous ways to market your business. However, you have to find the tactics that work best for your store. You need to figure out how you can best reach your potential clients the best. One way that you may consider is marketing with business cards. However, how do you even market with business cards besides passing them out? Well, this week’s marketing tip will focus on marketing with your business cards and a few tips on them.
- Keep them with you at all times. Make sure you have some in your wallet, purse, pocket, on your desk and in the reception area. What good will your business cards be if you never have any on you? You may want to give one out at some of the most unexpected times. Always have them on hand so when you introduce yourself to new people, you can give them a business card as well. They are truly handy to hand out.
- Take care of your business cards. Don’t forget that they are made of paper. Yes, they may be created out of premium paper, however, they still can get bent. So, make sure you store them in a nice business card holder or somewhere they will be protected.
- Seek out bulletin boards. Whenever you see a good place to post your business card, do it. What can it hurt? You never know when someone may go to that particular bulletin board looking for your services or products.
- Include your business cards with everything. Don’t forget to include them in products you may ship or even billing statements. It’s that simple. Anything you may send out and seems appropriate, include a business card.
- They are even great for scrap paper. If you are out to lunch with your client or need to jot down a note for your customer, use your business card. Skip out on writing stuff on a napkin, which may seem unprofessional, and opt for one of your business cards.
- Why should people keep your business cards? Well, first off, give them a reason. You can include more than just your name, phone number and address on your business card. Make the back of the card useful as well. Include a calendar or even a coupon on it. If you include a coupon on the back, they’ll have to bring it back in next time to receive the discount.
- Print business cards for your staff. Have some printed off for your staff so they can hand some out to their friends and family too. Plus, give them an incentive on handing them out. This gets the word out to potential clients and even some that you may have not been able to reach yourself.
- Network with your business cards. You may go to networking functions, however, how do those people remember you? Business cards are great for these functions. You can hand them out to potential clients and even other businesses.
It’s important to carry business cards with you. They are a definite must as a marketing tool. So, keep these few simple rules in mind and you’ll be a pro at handing out business cards the right way.
