You have lots of great products in your store that make wonderful gifts, home accents, and are great purchases in general. These products are eye-catching and draw your customers in towards them. However, do you have smaller items that get overlooked? Are you marketing to get the attention these items deserve? If not, this week’s marketing tip is here to give you a few marketing tips and ideas to get these products noticed.
Today, this marketing tip will focus on the best way to market your greeting cards. These items can sometimes get overlooked by consumers. Not because they aren’t great, but because they can get lost with the other products you have in your store.
Also, consumers may look past these items with technology emerging to new heights. However, they are still essentials in your store. There are two main tips to keep in mind when selling these items.
Get Creative –Get creative and get fun with your store displays. It’s important for these items to grab your customer’s attention. Set up a fun display centered around a particular theme. You can choose special holidays or just make up one on your own. Make sure you designate the display in the center of your store or close to your cash wrap where customers can see it.
Add-On – Don’t forget that greeting cards are ideal add-on sales. Pay close attention to why your customers are buying a specific product. Ask them if it’s a gift for someone special, and if it is, remind them to get a card to go with it. Just be aware of what’s going on in your store and what your customers are purchasing. Just strike up a conversation with them and ask them what they’re looking for. They’ll immediately tell you if they are in search of the perfect gift. So, if you find out they are, show them where your cards are located. Plus, it shows your customers that you are care.
Greeting cards are a must for any store. You feature gift items, so why not feature the greeting cards to go with it. They are the perfect pairing. When you have small products, don’t have them overlooked. Just get creative on how you market those products.
