Draw customers to your store and away from your competitors with visual merchandising. Success starts with a look and visual merchandising creates that look.
Merchandising your product is what sets you above the rest. Visual merchandising is one of the hardest processes for any business but it can make the difference between success and failure.
In this newsletter, FG Market will introduce you to an important visual merchandising tool: display fixtures.
Merchandising an abundant amount of flowers using minimal floor space is easy with Floral Merchandising Systems.
With their line of compact display fixtures, plants and floral arrangements are displayed for maximum visual impact, yet they use only nominal floor space. Their Three Tier Plant Stand not only utilizes vertical space, but creates versatility as well, with adjustable shelves and casters for mobility.
With their bouquet display options, you can create mini floral venues throughout your store or at your check- out counter. Hanging baskets stands are an effective way to display baskets within easy reach of the customers and they can provide you with several options. Visual merchandising may draw the customer; accessibility closes the sale.
Balancing visual merchandising with practical applications can be tricky. Combining function and visual stimulation in one, Floraline Display Products, low profile floral display fixtures reduce product shrinkage, while presenting the customer with the optimum viewing angle. Taking merchandising to the next level, they provide sleek black contemporary floral display fixtures that are versatile and practical.
The Low Profile Series can stand alone, create a 360 degree shop-around, be placed against a wall, be the front to a full service counter, be the front of a work station, or be configured together for unique visual merchandising. The self-watering and self-cleaning design is an added bonus. With the low profile display fixtures, you can create visual merchandising that is elegantly designed for maximum product visibility and impulse buying.
One display fixture does not make an effective visual merchandising campaign, but a total concept plan with display fixtures can make a successful one. Innovative ideas are the keystone of MEI from their floral department planning services to their custom display fixtures. With their computer aided designs and merchandising plan-o-grams, they can develop visual merchandising campaigns for your whole store or just your floral department.
Once you have a plan, their display fixtures options are infinite. You can choose convertible step displays, island merchandisers, nesting tables or you can have innovative, custom displays made especially for your needs. They provide workstation, work centers, wrap stations and balloon centers that are designed to maximize productivity and merchandising capacity.
Don’t settle for any old display fixture, when you can choose from hundreds of display fixtures. Whether you want acrylic, glass, metal, wire or wooden display fixtures, A Virtual Display Mall has just what you need. Perfect for selling fresh flowers by the stem, they have a flower cart with removable dividers, which allows secure placement and easy bucket removal. Reminiscent of the street vendors of yesterday, the display cart with canopy is a clever way to display your gourmet foods items.
Use their crate merchandisers to display your permanent flowers. All items are at an optimum viewing angle with the wooden crate display fixtures which come in one, two and three levels. Pedestal grouping displays take products to a new level — literally. They have a wide selection of acrylic pedestal grouping displays to meet any situation. Visual merchandising using A Virtual Display Mall’s products is only limited by your vision.
Your visual merchandising says a lot about your store and it’s products. Captivate your customers by presenting your products with look-enhancing display fixtures, while your competitors product remains boring and monotonous. Seeing is believing, so take a look at these and other display fixture vendors at FG Market.

I don’t have any linkable merchandising case studies that I can give you. But I can give you an example from a retail garden center and how they used visual merchandising to increase sales. Adams Nursery & Landscaping had two different types of products with low sales turnover flags and perennials. Although a beautiful flag display was near the check out counter sales very fair but not fantastic. They had beautiful perennials with a below market cost grouped on the ground in a “perennial” sections on the lot and the sales were poor. They applied visual merchandising techniques to these products. Sample flags were hung on the front of the building where the breeze gave the flags movement. Sales immediately increased for the flags and over the course of the year any time the flags were not displayed on the front of the building sales decreased. A variety of perennials were placed on tier plant stands around fountains and other garden art pieces with signage directing customer to the perennial area. Sales increased and like the flags when the display was not presented sales decreased. In both cases, visual merchandising helped increase sales.
You don’t have to invest a large amount of money to incorporate visual merchandising into your store. Display fixtures do help, but you can create a merchandising display with what you have. If you plan to invest in display fixtures, start with very versatile pieces and build on the concept gradually.
