Sometimes the goals you’ve set for your future often transform into something all-together different.
That’s what happened with Sara Turnbull and her husband, Steve, whose idea for a goal milk farm quickly changed into much more than a dairy farm. Chicory Farm Soap
Chicory Farm Soap came about around 2011, during Sara and Steve’s last semester of college studying Sustainable Agriculture. They had plans to sell raw goat’s milk and goat cheese in their home state of New York but soon began dabbling in soap making as a side project. This side project eventually turned into their full-time project, and a bath and body care company was formed!
Chicory Farm Soap commits to making products that are naturally sourced and sustainable products, straight from the farm to customers’ hands. They believe sustainability involves three things: environmental health, personal health, and economic health.
By preaching and practicing these three tenets of sustainability, Chicory Farm Soap proves themselves as unmatched in their commitment to sustainable business practices.
But back to the bar soap! Chicory Farm Soap makes the sweet, aromatic smells of their bar soaps from, of course, goat’s milk, but also from natural smells derived from essential oils.
Some of their most popular scents are Grapefruit & Lemongrass, which smells like bright pink lemons, Thai kitchens, and fruity grass; Sweet Orange, which smells like pure Florida orange juice and sugared orange slice candy; Lavender, Lemon & Clary Sage, which smells like lavender lemonade, and rich flowers with a heady lemon; and the classic Lavender scent, which smells like French fields, soothing herbal pillows, and real lavender.
These aren’t all the scents that they have to offer, however. They also have scents like Geranium & Grapefruit; Grapefruit, Rosemary & Lavender; Orange & Cinnamon; Cedar & Fir; Mint; Eucalyptus; Tea Tree; Patchouli; Anise; Lavender Rosemary; and Oatmeal!
These bar soaps are all beautifully packaged together with an attractive casing and tied together with twine.
If you’re not about that bar soap life, thought, they also have a brand new liquid goat milk soap. It has the ease of a traditional liquid soap but it’s also a natural, castile soap. This is different than most detergent-based liquid soaps that often dominate the hand soap market.
These liquid goat milk soap products offer the same scents as their bar soap counterparts, but they also have an unscented variety of liquid soap for those who might be sensitive to certain smells.
These liquid soap dispensers also feature attractive packaging that ties the whole aesthetic of the product together and gives it a very natural, organic look.
Sugar scrubs and hand salves are also available for healing dry, cracked skin caused by dry weather and hard work in the garden.
Chicory Farm Soap doesn’t make just any old soap; they make natural goats milk soap that’s perfect for customers looking to cut out harsh chemicals and additives from their bath and body care regimen!
