Marketing Tip – Make Your Store Visually Appealing
Having an attractive display can draw customers in. It’s also more than just drawing a customer in. You can also promote slow moving item, announce various sales or seasonal items. There are so many uses for displays. It’s all about what and how you actually display your products. FGmarket has a few tips on making your store visually appealing.
A Creative Window Gets Them Through The Door
- Less is effective – You know that saying less is more? Well, that’s true for your window display. You don’t want to stick everything you have in your store in the window. If everything was in your window, it would look like a huge mess and turn potential clients away.
- Plan it out – Have a strategy behind your window display. What is your goal and the purpose? If you have a clear cut message and plan, it will be easy to plan out what goes in the window.
- Keys to a good setup – Setting up a window is easy. Create an eye-level display; balance by using color, shapes and repetition to draw the eye in.
- Check out your competitors – Check out to see if their window is appealing or not. What draws you in and what do you not like about the window? It never hurts to check out the competition.
Once they’re in:
- What do they see when they walk in your door – Is your entrance exciting and did they make the right choice by even stepping foot in your store? Always keep it exciting and worth the visit to your store.
- Gondolas & floor fixtures – Think about the sizes that these come in. Think about the visibility of each one and what will better suit your store and customers.
- Think vertical – Use your wall space. Your customers can see products on the wall and it may draw them to other parts of the store. However, don’t overuse your walls. Using your wall space can help free up floor space so you and your customers have room to maneuveur around the store. Also, it gives you more space to create a nice focal point on the store floor.
- Endcaps – These may be useful in your store, and they may not. It just depends on the layout of your store. If you have them, these are good attention grabbers for a single product. If you have a promotion going on a particular item, display them here with an overhead sign that gets them and the sale noticed.
- Cash Wrap – This is where you should put all those impulse purchases. You normally see mints, candy or smaller items here. However, come up with a theme for your cash wrap. If it’s a holiday or bridal season, put items related to the theme near the cash wrap.
Creating a visually appealing store can help entice customers into your store and sell those products on your shelves.
